Flavorful Dressings

Whether on salad or another staple side, these dressings are sure to make any side dish all the more appetizing.

Classic balsamic dressing

If you’re trying to stick to something healthier, this light dressing is the one for you.

  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Tart cider-vinegar dressing

A tangy dressing base mixed with sweet ingredients like cranberries, apples, and walnuts does just the trick.

  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • ½ cup olive oil

Sweet mustard dressing

Mix Dijon mustard with some honey to balance out these two opposite flavors for one dressing that goes with any summer salad.

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil

 

To prepare all dressings:

In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except for the olive oil.
Slowly add in the olive oil, and mix until the dressing is smooth.
Transfer to an airtight container, and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
